Italian Heavy Rockers SBARCO Signs With Argonauta Records; First Single Out Now

Italian heavy rock trio SBARCO has signed a deal with Argonauta Records for the release of its debut album. Today also marks the release of the first single “The Landing” as an official music video, giving listeners a taste of what’s to come:

“We’re excited to collaborate with Argonauta Records for our first release as a band and we’re proud to enter in a such qualitative roster… We could not hope for better!” – says the band.

“The end of the mental journey told in our record is the beginning of the record itself. Thus begins a psychological path backwards that winds through mystical visions, emotions and sensations with the sky, the sun, the moon and the stars to guide. The end is just the beginning.” – the band adds.

Nothing new; three people who met at different times and experienced music in different ways, joined by the belief that expressing oneself, at the very least attempting it, is always better than not doing so. Sbarco are, respectively: Emanuele (There Will Be Blood, Out Of Project, The Sinatra’s, Dio Della Love), Matteo (Nient’altro Che Macerie) and Marco. The album took shape and unfolds as a mental journey through fundamental themes (loneliness, despair, love and hope) where the maritime imagery serves to narrate the simplest and most universal emotions in a mystical and evocative way. The path unfolds by itself; is it relevant to question about its endline? It will always be all wrong, everything to be redone. Or maybe not.

Each song became unique and could have been released as a single, and although the album features a variety of moods, emotions and styles within the genre we loosely represent, the entirety remains solid and coherent.

”The third single is a blend of heavy riffs and sweet melodies but also includes some prog twists! With lyrics inspired by our practice regime and the monotony of daily routines, the song builds up and ends with a surprising change to the chorus. Also features some of our trademark soloing and raspy vocals to keep your limbic system in fight-or-flight mode!” – musicians explain.

KING OF NONE is a stoner rock group from Helsinki, Finland. Formed in 2013, their signature sound fuses heavy riffs and raspy vocals with progressive elements and psychedelic soundscapes. The band retains all its original members from its inception: Miiro Kärki (vocals), Patrick Enckell (drums), Juho Aarnio (bass), Aleksi Kärkkäinen (guitar) and Juha Pääkkö (guitar). With three self-released EPs, the group’s sound has evolved from having a 90s desert stoner rock feel to include more wide-ranging psychedelic and progressive influences from their own musical pasts, while maintaining the same riff-worshipping attitude. They have received attention locally and internationally in the underground stoner rock scene and become known for their energetic and captivating live performances.
