WHITE TUNDRA Announce Their New Single “Healer”; They Will Perform at DesertFest Oslo in May

We’re thrilled to present “Healer”, the brand new single from Norwegian heavy voyagers White Tundra and the first preview of their upcoming album “Stories from the Dark”, set for release in spring 2026.

White Tundra emerge from the northern marshes with a sound that combines heavy atmospheric melodies, powerful grooves and a deep sense of Scandinavian mystique. Their music drifts across dusty tundras and into shadowed woodlands, balancing the raw energy of 70s hard rock with the grit of the 90s stoner scene and the darker moods of doom and blackened rock. The band has often been compared to Red Fang, Witchcraft and Skraeckoedlan, yet their identity remains unmistakably their own.

Following their acclaimed self titled debut album in 2023 which secured a place on the Doom Charts and introduced their unique blend of riffs and folklore inspired heaviness, White Tundra spent 2024 rebuilding and strengthening their creative core. With the arrival of lead guitarist Kjell Andres Nilsen early in the year and bassist Øyvind Persvik shortly after, the band began shaping what would become “Stories from the Dark”. Recording took place in the summer of 2025 at AutumnSongs Recording Studio with Rhys Marsh producing.

“Healer” serves as the opening track of “Stories from the Dark” and marks a renewed chapter for the band.
White Tundra share: “Healer is the opening track of the album that we started working on early 2024 when Kjell Andres joined on lead guitars. He had been piling up ideas for a while and came into the band with fresh blood and energy. After a while, Øyvind joined on bass and we really started to focus on writing in the summer of 2024.”

“Healer” captures the essence of the band’s evolution with melodies that rise with intensity, hypnotic riffs and a sense of narrative tension that sets the tone for the journey within “Stories from the Dark”.

White Tundra will also perform at DesertFest Oslo 2026, an unmissable event for all fans of the genre, featuring a stellar line-up with names like Russian Circles, Primitive Man, Earthless, The Sword and many more.

Austrian Sludge Doom Masters TARLUNG Reveal Full Album Details for “Axis Mundi”

Vienna-based sludge doom masters TARLUNG are back. Five years after the success of Architect, the band will release their new full-length album “Axis Mundi” on January 30, 2026 via Argonauta Records on CD, vinyl, and digital platforms.

Axis Mundi marks the return of TARLUNG with eight tracks of crushing riffs, chugging rhythm and fierce growls. The album captures a world in turmoil, growing more chaotic and out of line every day, and asks the question of how to maintain one’s sanity until the moment the “Axis Mundi” bursts.

Atmospheric Black Doom Metal Act SPLENDIDULA Releases New Single Featuring ex-My Dying Bride’s Aaron Stainthorpe!

Belgian atmospheric black doom band Splendidula unveils Echoes Of Quiet Remain, a deeply emotional track featuring guest vocals by Aaron Stainthorpe, known for his iconic work with My Dying Bride. As the first single from their upcoming album Absentia, set for release in 2026 via Argonauta Records, the song immediately highlights the record’s intense emotional core and the band’s renewed artistic direction.

Written in the aftermath of several personal tragedies, Absentia opens a new and vulnerable chapter for Splendidula. The album was created during a period marked by the passing of loved ones, including bassist Peter Chromiak. The band comments: “Echoes Of Quiet Remain holds a special place within Absentia, an album dedicated to those we have lost. The song grew from a few unfinished riffs written by our bassist Peter, who passed away in 2022. The lyrics were shaped by the grief of losing our loyal companion Gimli, while the spoken words by our former guitarist Pieter are a heartfelt tribute to Peter. When we met Aaron Stainthorpe, one of the favorite artists of our dear friend Sven who passed in 2021, it felt like fate to invite him as a guest vocalist. This song brings together the stories of our lost ones, and that is why it had to be our first single.”

Aaron reflects on his contribution: “The decision to take part in this song wasn’t simply based on the excellent music, but the story behind it, and the ensuing sadness. When I was informed that the song, and indeed the entire album, was dedicated to the memory of the band’s lovely friend, Sven, I was totally in. Emotional music has been the backbone of my music career and this is exactly what we have within Splendidula. Dark and beautiful, this comes straight from the heart.”

Drone Doom Voyagers OWLS OVER OAKS Sign to Argonauta Records

Argonauta Records is proud to welcome OWLS OVER OAKS to its roster. Emerging from the depths of Italy’s extreme underground, the trio delivers a formidable blend of extreme drone doom that expands the limits of darkness and despair.

Founded in 2022 by Valerio “Leynir” Possetto, former bassist of Enisum, OWLS OVER OAKS reached its definitive form in 2024 with the addition of two highly respected figures in the Italian extreme scene. Elisa “Aeretica” Iacopini, former vocalist of Amethista, and Roberto “Bob Rip” Ripollino, drummer also active with Nihili Locus and Nerocapra, joined the project to complete a vision that is as uncompromising as it is immersive.

Leynir acts as the sole composer and lyricist, shaping a sound that is crushing, hypnotic and entirely personal. The band’s debut album O.O.O., the first chapter of a planned trilogy, was recorded entirely in analog. It stands out for its radical use of dual bass lines, both performed by Leynir, and the complete absence of guitars. This choice magnifies the album’s monolithic weight. Structured in three long tracks for a total running time of about forty minutes, O.O.O. is conceived as a single apocalyptic litany, a slow descent into pain, perdition, and blindness, wrapped in a pitch black atmosphere inspired by the bleak world of Mad Max.

Their debut single Owls, mastered by James Plotkin, introduces this desolate world with overwhelming intensity and sets the tone for what is to come.

OWLS OVER OAKS craft a totalizing sonic experience where every note drips with darkness and every silence trembles with impending catastrophe.

Splendidula renew deal with Argonauta Records for upcoming album

Belgian atmospheric black and doom collective SPLENDIDULA have renewed their signing with Argonauta Records for the release of their highly anticipated fourth full-length album.

Active since 2008, Splendidula have steadily built their reputation through three celebrated albums: Splendidula, Post Mortem and Somnus released in 2021 on Argonauta Records. Their blend of crushing riffs, layered vocals and deep, engulfing melancholy has earned them a devoted following and multiple represses of Somnus and their earlier work.

In 2022, the sudden loss of bassist Peter and the subsequent departure of both guitarists profoundly affected the band. Reborn through grief and emotional struggle, Splendidula reshaped their lineup and creative vision. The standalone single Behind My Semblance (2024) offered a first look into this new, intensely expressive chapter.

Their upcoming album marks an emotional and artistic milestone. The record digs fearlessly into themes of grief, depression and loss, and gains extraordinary weight through powerful guest contributions by two iconic artists:
Aaron Stainthorpe, known from My Dying Bride and High Parasite, and Tim Yatras, known from Austere and Germ. These collaborations greatly deepen the album’s sorrowful atmosphere, creating moments of striking vulnerability and emotional majesty that further anchor Splendidula within the upper ranks of the atmospheric black and doom scene. The first single, “Echoes Of Quiet Remain”, featuring Aaron Stainthorpe, will be released on December 5th.

Splendidula have recently appeared at Alcatraz Open Air and Cosmic Void Festival 2025, and have shared the stage with Sylvaine, Wiegedood, Austere and Wolvennest, among many others.

French Heavy Rockers RedRedRed from Poitiers have officially signed with Octopus Rising / Argonauta Records. To celebrate the signing, RedRedRed present their brand new single Floods Above Me, available today on all major digital platforms.

Active since 2013, RedRedRed formed with one simple mission to play the music they love without compromise. Drawing inspiration from Clutch, Down, Monster Magnet, Mutoid Man and Mastodon, the band delivers a high octane mix of stoner attitude, heavy metal drive and thick rock grooves. Their sound focuses on authenticity, grit, and the wild pulse of the live experience.

From the very beginning, the human side has always remained a priority for RedRedRed. No strategic marketing plans, no calculated business angles.
