Thomas started to play piano as a young child, encouraged by his mother. He quickly began playing in local bands in Sweden until the late 80’s when, together with his bandmates, he formed what became then one of Sweden’s most loved, cult, AOR bands, Crystal Blue. Having worked as keyboard player and backing vocalist on the first two albums (“Out From The Blue” in 1993 and “Caught In The Game” in 1994), Thomas took the microphone duties for the third Crystal Blue album, “Detour” (released in 2003 by MTM Music). Despite highly-positive feedback from media and fans all around the world, the band split up.  

After years spent performing as session musician for various artists (Last Autumn’s Dream & Charming Grace between others), Thomas felt it was time to go into the studio and start writing and recording some unreleased material, during the pandemic while the world was in lockdown. The result was ten classy AOR tracks, which Thomas sent to Burning Minds Music Group‘s A&R team for evaluation. Excited by what they heard, label manager Stefano Gottardi and A&R man, Pierpaolo “Zorro” Monti, immediately contacted Lassar to offer him a deal. The feeling was almost immediate, thanks also to Zorro and Thomas’ collaboration on the Charming Grace debut album, back in 2012.  
“From Now On” is going to be one of the highlights of 2023, especially for fans of Scandinavian AOR, with a sound reminiscent of other Swedish melodic rock acts like Crystal Blue, Work Of Art, and Crossfade. It also features Rob Marcello (Danger Danger) as very special guest on three tracks. The release is scheduled on April 14, 2023 via Art Of Melody Music / Burning Minds Music Group, in perfect timing to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of last Crystal Blue‘s album, “Detour”. The CD booklet features introductory liner notes written by Jörg Bonszkowski (Rock It! Magazine, Rock Avenue Radio Show), with graphics created by Aeglos Art.

“Holy Water” is taken from Superhorror’s new self-produced full-length album “Devilish Whisper”, due to release on April 28, 2023; the very same night a release party will be held in Milan, Italy, at Legend Club. The album will be available in both digital and physical format through Bandcamp and will feature some special guests like guitarist Casey (The Brokendolls, ex-Thee S.T.P.), singer Jack (Speed Stroke) and bassist Mr.4 (ex-Superhorror).

Sneakout Records & Burning Minds Music Group are proud to announce the details of “Rock ‘n’ Roll Rebirth”, the official debut album by Italian hard rockers 5ive Years Gone.
Founded by guitarist Davide Falconetti and singer Paolo Cernic, influenced by the classic arena-rock bands of the ’80s and some punk rock, 5ive Years Gone plays no-frills, melodic, and catchy guitar-driven hard rock, with rock & roll and blues hints. The band is completed by guitarist/pianist Andrea Imbergamo, bassist Andrea Cok and drummer Michael Bonanno.
Originally self-released digitally in 2020, “Rock ‘n’ Roll Rebirth” has been completely remixed and remastered. A new logo and cover art have been designed for this new edition by the talented Aeglos Art (Platens, Raintimes, Michael Kratz, Wheels Of Fire, Alchemy), who also developed all the CD graphics.
Guitarist & founding member Davide Falconetti, talking about the album, says: “After a long wait, the time to release 5YG’s debut album has finally come. “God Is A Witness”, self released debut album of the italian hard ’n’ heavy band Anims, led by former Danger Zone and Crying Steel guitarist Francesco Di Nicola, is out today on all major streaming & download platforms.

The album “God Is A Witness” came to life in an old-school way, with various face-to- face encounters in a music rehearsal room in Bologna, Italy. The project started with the clear and precise intention of creating and recording an album containing ten tracks; ten songs that were clearly united by the same “hard ‘n’ heavy” influence, yet each with their own specific character. The ten songs originated from the guitar riffs composed by Francesco Di Nicola (Danger Zone, Crying Steel), put together with the collaboration of bassist Elio Caia, drummer Diego Emiliani and singer Luca Bonzagni (Crying Steel), who proceeded to elaborate nine of the ten vocal melodic lines. After the composing and arranging of the songs, as well as the recording of the ten arrangements, the singer, unable to continue the work for personal reasons, abandoned the project, inevitably leaving room for new evaluations, including that of the use of a voice that could offer a totally different and therefore absolutely unexpected twist to the band’s sound. It was therefore decided that a classic hard/heavy metal voice was not what the band envisioned, so various specialized and experienced male voices were auditioned. The group therefore decided to wait for the right opportunity, without necessarily rushing into the completion of the album.
Meanwhile, the tracks were recorded by Roberto Priori at “Pristudio” in Bologna. During a work break to check the backing tracks and to listen to some tracks recorded in said studio, the opportunity arose to entrust the task of completing the album to Elle Noir, a singer who, by virtue of her own experience and singing versatility, subsequently accepted the challenge of steering towards a decidedly “hard” horizon as she had never done before.
The ten lyrics were written by Francesco Di Nicola, who, speaking from his own experiences, dreams, desires and fears, tried as much as possible to follow the previously composed melodies, composing the missing one (“The Dancers”) and, with the collaboration of Elle Noir, completing, perfecting and adapting the singing parts to suit the new voice. The overall result, fruit of the combined effort and common taste of the four musicians, yet inevitably characterized by the freshness, power and femininity of Elle Noir‘s voice, subsequently inspired the name of the band.

“TAFKATNO“ features an outstanding list of special guests including Christian Warburg (Paul Young), Bruce Gaitsch (King Of Hearts, Madonna, Peter Cetera, Chicago, Elton John, Joe Cocker, Lionville), Torben Lysholm (Pangea, Mysterell, Acacia Avenue), Davide Gilardino & Luca Carlomagno (Mindfeels) and Janey Clewer (Peter Cetera, Bill Champlin, Michael Bolton, Michael Sembello among others). The mix was done @ Kawer Studios by Kasper Viinberg and Kratz himself, with mastering handled instead by Torben Lysholm @ SnakeRock.

“TAFKATNO“ is scheduled for release on September 24, 2021 via Art Of Melody Music / Burning Minds Music Group. A special personalized edition has been created by Outward Styles in a very limited quantity of 30 copies, and will be available exclusively on the Burning Minds Music Group‘s official online shop. CD graphics have been designed by Aeglos Art (Wheels Of Fire, Airbound, Raintimes, Alchemy, Room Experience), with booklet featuring introductory liner notes written by Bengt Isaksson (Westcoast/AOR Music Network). Cover artwork concept and design thanks to Michael Kratz.
