Originally formed in 1985 from the ashes of Vancouver New Wave band A Cast of​ Thousands, Gary Economy, Jeff Pawson, Peter Burns and a Korg drum machine became The Gathering. Inspired by such bands as The Cure, The Jesus and Mary Chain and Killing Joke they began playing shows at some of Vancouver’s finer local music venues including The Commodore Ballroom, The Town Pump, The Luv-A-Fair and Graceland. Dave Goodman joined the band on drums in 1986 and the line-up was set. From 1986 to 1987 the band demoed material and continued to play local shows with such bands as X, National Velvet, 13 Engines, The Waterwalk and Art Bergmann.
In 1988 The Gathering released the Let It Shine EP, produced and recorded by Glen Reely, at Limited Vision Studios in Vancouver. The EP earned favourable reviews and plenty of college radio airplay. The Gathering hit the road playing shows across Canada with the likes of 54-40, Weddings Parties Anything, Nash The Slash and After All. The Gathering disbanded at the end of 1988 feeling their project had run its course. Pawson and Burns went on to form Shine and Economy joined 6” Maria.
Inspired by the resurgence of the Post Punk, New Wave and 80’s music movement The Gathering reformed in late 2017. Their re-initiation to the stage was in support of local post punk band ACTORS, led by Jason Corbett. In the spring of 2018, the band, Corbett (producer, composer and songwriter) and Shannon Hemmett, also of ​ACTORS (and Leathers) went into Corbetts’s Jacknife Sound Studio and the Let It Shine EP was ‘ReTransmitted’. The ReTransmission EP was released in June of 2018. The EP has garnered plenty of airplay and made numerous playlists especially in Germany and other parts of Europe where the Post-Punk Revival movement is thriving. Recent high profile shows have included support slots for The Alarm, Spear Of Destiny and The Grapes Of Wrath.

Following the release of the “The Love Songs EP”, The Gathering are back with their all new EP “Night Light”.

The cover is Mont-Saint-Michel from an unfamiliar perspective, photographed from an old postcard. Nostalgia and science fiction at the same time.

‚The Awakening of a Mutant Girl‘ is a Sci-Fi B-movie without images that tells a story of marginalization and hope. It is about overcoming personal fears, the desire to escape and a declaration of otherness. The story of a girl who turns out to be a mutant from another planet wanted to be, at the beginning, a metaphorical tale but, during the eight months of work on the album, private tragedies and dramatic world events made Echoberyl decide to change a large part of the music. The result is an album very different from their previous work, more heartfelt, more electronic, more eclectic.

‚The Awakening of a Mutant Girl‘ is conceived and written as a tribute to B-movies, especially sci-fi movies from the 50s and 60s, but also inspired by the work of the graphic novelist Enki Bilal and movie directors such as Yann Gonzalez and Michel Ocelot. Each song corresponds to a chapter of the story. Step by step a path of liberation is revealed.

Echoberyl is a French-Italian alternative rock / darkwave duo based in Paris. Their music is influenced by some classics like New Order and Depeche Mode but also by soundtracks like You and the Night by M83, the atmosphere of David Lynch’s movies, the light voice of french 60s singer France Gall. Echoberyl is the meeting of two solitudes delivering their deep vulnerability. The delicate voice of Cecilia mixes with Adriano’s mesmerizing composition. Combining strength and fragility, their music is a cry of pain and a hope of appeasement. Echoberyl is Cecilia (voice, music) and Adriano (guitar, programming, music), with the collaboration of Ari (lyrics). The duo was formed in September 2018 in Paris. They are signed with Cold Transmission.

KISS OF THE WHIP is a dark electronic project formed by Montreal-born artist and producer Tristan Victor in 2017 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His first two albums, “Like Love Only Real” (self-released, 2018) and “New Lows” (Diffuse Reality Records, 2018) were rooted in darkwave, post-punk, and dark electro. The project quickly gained an underground following in Europe and the United States, and following a 2020 signing to German Cold Transmission Music, Victor is bringing his darkly uplifting sounds to an increasing variety of audiences.

Pushing forward the range of musical and emotional intensity that listeners have learned to expect from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania’s Kiss of the Whip, artist Tristan Victor’s new full-length album – titled “We’re Not Here” – showcases his most emotional vocal performances, melodic instrumentation, dramatic song structures, and groove-laden beats yet. With a wide range of styles and tempos, the musician and producer presents brand new songs that promise to delve deeper than ever into the depths of his brand of 1980s-flavored dark electronic music. The darkwave/post-punk project’s third album shares poignant, personal themes of loving adoration, crushing abandonment, and unity within the natural world, with deep feeling and uniquely dark honesty. NIGHT NAIL began in 2019 writing the songs for “March To Autumn” before the chaos of the epidemic started and finished the mix of this new album during their lockdown in Berlin. With Pete Burns of Kill Shelter in Edinburgh, Scotland co-producing, mixing, and mastering, Night Nail wrote and recorded the album with themes of losing hope, giving into fear and paranoia, nostalgia, and against our natural instincts, we faced ourselves, the total unknown. Featuring additional instruments and voices by Valentina Veil, Ilja Gavrilenko, Manuel Wagner & Pete Burns.

Berlin’s darkwave band originally formed in 2013 in Los Angeles, CA. After releasing their self-titled EP and extensive touring throughout the US, Night Nail moved to Berlin, Germany and recorded their first album. “LA Demons” was released on Cleopatra Records in April of 2018. Night Nail has recently completed their second full length album „March to Autumn“ for mixed, mastered, and co-produced by Pete Burns for release this year on Cold Transmission Music..

Camlann is a teen alternative Neo-Goth band from Jakarta, Indonesia with Ony Godfrey (16) as the guitarist, singer, and songwriter, Bayu Triyudanto (15) as the bassist, and Fauzan Pratama (16) as the synth player and composer. They also have their own producer, Chariszan (15) and Arachne (16), who’s also their co. songwriter.

Camlann was formed in early 2019 by several middle school students who have the same interest in music. Camlann’s music is influenced by many types of genres. They have the idea to make a music that is not only dark and haunting, but also dreamy and ethereal. Known for their dark lyrics and dreamy yet haunting melodies, Camlann creates a sound that blurs between Dark Post-Punk, New Wave and Darkwave. Creating a dreamy-haunting music, Camlann has made their name as one of the exciting new Dark Post-Punk bands to come.

They released their first EP “The Arrival” in 2019, followed by the single “To Vatican” in May 2020. Now it’s time for their debut album: “The Forgotten Lost Fragments”!
