The song was written by Serpico guitarist Snake to tell a tale about the band’s drummer Jani.
“I am so proud to have my own song written by someone else. It sounds just the way I am personally, how I feel and how I act. Snake really knows how to write a great song without forgetting the humorous side in the lyrics. Yes Sir, I´m a Rocker!” comments Jani.

Since Serpico‘s inception in 2005, they have released two full-lengths “Rose Tattoo” (2018), ‘Shallow Mistress” (2014), and an EP “Bad Commercial” (2011) along with touring all over Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, and England. The band is genuine and unique Rock n’ Roll with big respect for the classic titans. Today, Quickstrike is sharing their third single “Cheats n’ Liars” in preview to the album.
“One of the first songs written by the band back in 2018, and also the very first music videos we shot. The venue is ‘Live Art’ in our hometown Valmiera, where the band played numerous unforgettable shows.”

Ever get the feeling you’ve been cheated? People that run their cocaine-tongues until dawn, but would starve if they had to put their money, where their mouth is. The praise givers, turn around – nasty schemin’ snakes on your back. We’ve all been there. So the final single from “None of a Kind” is dedicated to their kind, you know, who you are!

The video, directed by the band, was filmed at “Live Art” in Valmiera, Latvia, where we spent countless hours rehearsing and performing as a house band. We’d like to thank our director of photography and editor Gunārs Porietis for another succesful collaboration, and Māris Kalniņš, owner of “Live Art” for the location and major support since we started out.

A no-nonsense experience of raw guitars, sweet tones, genuine vocals, and sweet emotions, each Quickstrike song is an event of its own and it’s all real to reel. Offering an all-around chamber of good ol’ classic rock n’ roll, the band delivers an authentic “what-you-get-on-the-record-is-what-you-get-live” experience. Take it or leave it, no refunds, as you will not want any – guaranteed. They are an encounter that will leave you dazed, amazed, crazed, and definitely craving for more. From the beautiful harmonies to flamin’ high-octane performances (literally), this is a package that has been missing since the likes of Aerosmith and Guns n’ Roses. Establishing their permanent lineup in 2017, the quintet has been performing attested, high-quality rock n’ roll all over Europe as an unstoppable freight train gig after gig. Their momentum has even landed them a performance at the Baltic region’s largest motorcycle festival “Kurland Bike Meet” in 2018.
With the emergence of such bands as Greta Van Fleet, the sudden popularity of the Queen biopic, and the Guns n’ Roses reunion, they all point to one thing, good ol’ rock n’ roll is slowly preparing for its long-awaited return to the spotlight. Quickstrike‘s sound is reminiscent of those aforementioned bands and so much more as they prepare to share with the world their first full length that’s been three years in the making.
“While pre-production was started in 2018, the actual tracks were laid down and mixed at Hodila Records in 2019. The mastering process took place at White Wide Productions in 2021. This debut is a pandora’s box with a vintage feel, topped off with a mix of the band’s attitude and raw energy. We’re bringing the old school into the new decade – sonic satisfaction guaranteed. But don’t just take our word for it, experience “None of a Kind” for yourself.” adds the band.
Album lyrics were mainly written by vocalist “Piggy” and rhythm guitarist “Ritchskies”. While drummer “Fourleaf Graves” very often adds a melody in his head for a song. Instrumentally, Quickstrike‘s songs have a pattern of “Ritchskies” constantly giving birth to riff after riff at each band practice or sometimes making them up on the go, he’s been dubbed “the riff machine”, and the band just builds from there.

With a sound frequently described as a “Sleazy Status Quo” with the image of the “Sunset Strip”, Laced In Lust has been turning heads since their first show in April 2012. The 14 track debut album is a diverse record with some major sleaze elements to hold true to the genre, but also have some just good ol’ Aussie rock n’ roll tones with a slice of dirty blues. 

Today, the band is teasing fans with their first single “Save Me (L.I.L. Woman)” off the forthcoming album. The band explains the story behind the track.

“Well ‘Save Me’ is a story from touring. It’s really talking about the game of cat and mouse at the bar between sexes. It gets lonely on the road sometimes and everybody needs somebody at some stage. That’s why the L.I.L Woman (Laced In Lust Woman) part is sung, as really without these women and these adventures and even those relationships we wouldn’t have experiences to sing about or develop as people. So overall the song is really a dedication to all our women friends and the ongoing battle of ‘sex is war’.”
