La band commenta il nuovo singolo:
“Quando mangio da solo a volte piango (Hangover)” è una canzone con una forte attitudine punk sorprendendoti per quanto sia diretta e d’impatto. È coinvolgente e straordinaria come le altre canzoni già pubblicate che fanno parte del prossimo album in uscita. Dal punto di vista del testo, potrebbe essere descritta così: “Dipendo da te. Ho sempre dipeso da te. Sei il mio nutrimento, e ora che te ne stai andando… a volte piango.”

Proseguendo sulla scia dei precedenti lavori, “Perpendicolari” (2017) e “Angelica” (2021), le otto tracce del nuovo album sono state registrate presso i prestigiosi Fusix Studio sotto la sapiente guida di Andrea Fusini, noto per le sue collaborazioni con artisti di spicco come Ready, Set, Fall!, Delain e La Sad.

Gli Ozora continuano a stupire con un suono unico che attraversa con maestria svariati generi metal, rock progressivo e rock alternativo, arricchendoli con nuovi suoni e arrangiamenti originali. Il cantato in italiano, le complessità strumentali tipiche del miglior progressive e l’energia travolgente del rock si fondono armoniosamente creando un’esperienza musicale senza precedenti.

Questo nuovo lavoro non solo consolida la reputazione degli Ozora come una delle band più interessanti del panorama musicale italiano ma segna anche un ulteriore passo avanti nella loro evoluzione artistica. Birthed to travel the cosmos, Italy’s Vanderlust is a power-heavy metal band with prog-thrash influences that tells tales of space travels, astronomy, space engineering, and sci-fi adventures.

“We tried to mix a prog-thrashy riffing in the roots of Megadeth, Vektor and Tool with epic vocal parts like Iron Maiden, Helloween, Angra, and Lione’s Rhapsody. We also put sci-fi elements in our songs, so you can hear also something from Voivod.” adds the band.

This debut recording is like a stellar system with 12 different planets. The star at the center of the system represents the heavy-power metal around all the songs revolving. Despite all the tracks being irradiated by the same light, they are all different from each other. Vanderlust has fast thrash, slow and doom, shiny and brilliant to grunge, and darker songs. Like planets, which appear like simple small bright spots, but in reality, are all big worlds, Vanderlust’s songs are more complex than they sound at first listen. In fact, you can easily sing along to some of the choruses even if there are complex riffs in the background. Vanderlust is particularly proud of the participation of opera singer Letizia Cappellini who does vocals on select tracks and helps the band further expand the vocal register of their compositions. The band also adds the presence of synths and electronic elements to the compositions to set the sci-fi mood of the lyrics.

Vanderlust is recommended for fans of Iron Maiden, Angra, Tool, Helloween, and Vektor.

To celebrate the release of their new album “AQVA”, out now as of Friday, Jan 21st via Rockshots Records, progressive power metal legion Beriedir are sharing with fans their latest music video for the track “At Candle Light”. The song is about finding shelter in someone, not as a perfect saviour, but as a true companion, while treading a dark road in an unknown and strange place, all of this with the aid of the little light that we’re often allowed to have during our life.

Beriedir’s second full-length “AQVA” features ten tracks of progressive, power, and melodic death metal that were mixed and mastered by Simone Mularoni (Domination Studio).
“AQVA”, despite not being a real concept album with a story articulating itself throughout the tracks, touches its various topics through the many forms in which water manifests, be it a river, a storm or tears. The album deals with rather introspective matters, trying to give a new perspective on situations that Biriedir thinks their listeners will find relatable and hoping that they will maybe take shelter in their audio experience, using them as their own voice when only music can speak for us.

“We think AQVA will positively surprise our older fans and lead new ones, this record is much more diverse and has definitely matured in songwriting. The main goal of AQVA as a whole is to figuratively “submerge” the listener with a spectrum of themes, both musical and lyrical, related to water and its shapes. Water is the element of flow, it’s the substance that conceals, preserves, and washes all away. The lulling nature of a silent shore or a rapping rain is juxtaposed to the fearsome imagery of the undertow, riptides, and tidal waves. We tried to convey these atavistic sensations differently from track to track. The singles were chosen to showcase the variety of approaches to this theme.” adds band founder Stefano Nüsperli.

Beriedir (from the Sindarin word for “Guardians”) is a progressive melancholic power metal act based in Bergamo, Italy. The five-member band was founded by Stefano Nüsperli and began its live career in 2015 with the release of “The Line”, their first demo. Their first full-length album “The Path Beyond the Moon” was unveiled in 2018, which launched them to perform on multiple musical events such as Fosch Fest (Italy) along with sharing the stage with bands such as Korpiklaani and Pathfinder.
