Mercvrial is a geographically-dispersed recording project based in Rosarito, Mexico that combines elements of post-punk, dream pop and neo-psychedelia. Their debut E.P. received extensive praise from critics in arcane corners of the blogsphere after its August 2019 release, drawing favourable comparisons to output from various independent British labels of days gone by.

Mercvrial’s debut LP is an amalgamation of a myriad of sub-genres – from post-punk and dream pop to neo-psychedelic and mod – reflecting a wide array of influences, including most notably: The Chameleons, Echo and the Bunnymen, Rain Parade, Ride and House of Love.

Two and a half years removed from the Rosarito, Mexico-based group’s debut EP – The Stars, Like Dust – Brief Algorithms represents a modest stylistic departure for the band.
