Liljevars Brann, in partnership with Octopus Rising, promises to ignite the metal scene with their unparalleled sonic adventure, “Helja Kor.” Prepare to be enthralled by their mystical black metal prowess.

Emerging from the void, Liljevars Brann is the brainchild of vocalist and composer Sjelvindur, alongside the accomplished drummer Kristjan. These longstanding comrades, with a history of crafting extreme music spanning decades, united to form this nature-inspired, mystical black metal project in early 2021.

Liljevars Brann’s musical voyage draws inspiration from the spiritual potency of early visionaries like Ulver, The 3rd and the Mortal and the Swedish Prog Rock legends, Landberk. Their sonic narrative is further enriched by a distinct individual essence.

Their inaugural album, “Helja Kor,” a remarkable creation composed and recorded within a mere eight weeks in the spring of 2021, weaves a tapestry of an unfamiliar language, its meaning unfurling through pure sound, adding an enigmatic allure.

“Helja Kor” is a grandiose odyssey, comprising five expansive tracks and a runtime exceeding 50 minutes. It traverses through realms of dark acoustic folk, ethereal chants, intense and fierce vocal expressions, and black metal grandeur, perpetually infused with melodic brilliance.

According to legend, before populating the earth, the last survivors of mankind had already left a previous planet in a decaying state, after having essentially terminated and depleted almost all forms of resource and life. This led to their exit from the planet via a spaceship called “Mothership Mercury”. Before they left the planet though, the wisest of the survivors placed various information and teachings all over so that future generations – that might be in quest of their true origins – come across them; symbols, texts, images and a wide array of knowledge once forgotten, only to repeat the same destructive mistakes time and time again.

Italian Heavy Rockers SBARCO Signs With Argonauta Records; First Single Out Now

Italian heavy rock trio SBARCO has signed a deal with Argonauta Records for the release of its debut album. Today also marks the release of the first single “The Landing” as an official music video, giving listeners a taste of what’s to come:

“We’re excited to collaborate with Argonauta Records for our first release as a band and we’re proud to enter in a such qualitative roster… We could not hope for better!” – says the band.

“The end of the mental journey told in our record is the beginning of the record itself. Thus begins a psychological path backwards that winds through mystical visions, emotions and sensations with the sky, the sun, the moon and the stars to guide. The end is just the beginning.” – the band adds.

Nothing new; three people who met at different times and experienced music in different ways, joined by the belief that expressing oneself, at the very least attempting it, is always better than not doing so. Sbarco are, respectively: Emanuele (There Will Be Blood, Out Of Project, The Sinatra’s, Dio Della Love), Matteo (Nient’altro Che Macerie) and Marco. The album took shape and unfolds as a mental journey through fundamental themes (loneliness, despair, love and hope) where the maritime imagery serves to narrate the simplest and most universal emotions in a mystical and evocative way. The path unfolds by itself; is it relevant to question about its endline? It will always be all wrong, everything to be redone. Or maybe not.

Italian Instrumental Post Rockers REPETITA IUVANT Are Set to Release their Two-Songs EP This Spring

Post Rock Instrumentalists REPETITA IUVANT set all details for their new and intense two-songs EP titled “√2”.

At the basis of the improvisation work of the band, there is an equation of mathematics that starts with 3, the first episode, the perfect number and all its facets. Then move on to the second ep, 3+1. the square that defines the sound and the sounds that will come, (the entrance to the use of synths). And then define themselves with 7, the first full length with 7 songs. The choice of the number 7 is connected to the 3, the 7 defines not only the notes, though also the colors of the rainbow and the entire timing of terrestrial life.

The new ep √2 is the first chapter of a new trilogy and the natural continuation of this equation, as well as the repetition and development of mathematics quantum.

Repetita Iuvant was born in 2006, with a classic guitar, bass and drums trio, they only play live in Tuscany and Liguria until 2013. In 2018 they find themselves with a new lineup, 2 guitars and drums. They start recording immediately in 2019 and 3, 3+1 and 7 were released in 2022. Those 2 EPs and the first LP are a trilogy based on a mathematical concept. Repetita‘s music is a mixture of post rock, no-wave and psychedelia improvisation.

They define themselves as post postists, because they are convinced that “no class of prejudices or civic, historical or academic considerations can inhibit the impulse of imagination.

Repetita Iuvant “√2” will be released on CD and DIGITAL via Argonauta Records, with release date set by May 3rd, 2024

empty house is the solo work of Blackpool based musician Fred Laird. Formed in March 2021, empty house is an ambient project that fuses electronics and found sounds with Asian instruments.
