Written and recorded over the course of a year, ‘The Ancient Place’ is Sunspire’s second LP. Produced using limited equipment at the artist’s home, the record reflects a widening palette of sounds and influences while staying true to the nostalgic dream-pop style of previous releases. Recording with limited equipment at home, Sunspire is the alias of Jack Jazrawy-Brown, a Wiltshire based songwriter and producer. Taking cues from both dream pop and contemporary indie rock, Jack began teaching himself the art of recording while still at school, refining his haunting melodies and bittersweet lyrics over the years since.
