Adrianne Lenker – Bright Future
GRAMMY-nominated for Best Folk Album, Adrianne is currently embarking on a sold-out North American tour – celebrating ‘an early contender for album of the year’
[The Sunday Times].
cumgirl8 – the 8th cumming
Following 2023’s Phantasea Pharm EP, the Manhattan four-piece released their debut album earlier this year; sonically oscillating between dark and light, travelling intergalactically between distorted, gothic industrialism akin to the retro horror soundtracks of John Carpenter, to Chris & Cosey or Suicide-reminiscent suspenseful and sometimes romantic synth-wave, and gritty post-punk experimentalism.
Erika de Casier – Still
“One of pop music’s preeminent, joyful architects” [The FADER]; Erika de Casier released Still in February before sold-out shows across Europe and North America.
Future Islands – People Who Aren’t There Anymore
After breaking into the UK Top 10 for the first time ever, Future Islands played the largest shows of their career (including Radio City Music Hall, New York). The Guardian’s Album of the Week review heralded “a brutal, beautiful study of the pain of parting”.
Helado Negro – PHASOR
Named Best New Music by Pitchfork, Helado Negro shared his “most infectiously joyous songs to date” [Uncut, 9/10] in February.
Tucker Zimmerman – Dance of Love
As astonishing achievement, the Big Thief-produced record finally afforded Tucker Zimmerman has much-deserved critical acclaim at the age of 83. Revered by David Bowie and named “one of the greatest songwriters of all time” by Adrianne Lenker, his 4AD debut was rightly labeled ‘truly special’ by The Sunday Times.
