Shares Intimate Performance Brodie Session Adrianne Lenker

Today, Adrianne Lenker has shared a four-song session recorded for burgeoning musical platform Brodie Sessions. Back in the Spring during her sold-out European solo tour, Lenker was invited to perform at a private residence outside the Danish capital. Captured in just one take on 16mm film, Lenker and her bandmate Nick Hakim played astonishingly raw cuts from her latest solo album Bright Future in front of a small Copenhagen audience.

Performing ‘Vampire Empire’, ‘Sadness As A Gift’, ‘Donut Seam’ and ‘No Machine’, Lenker ended the performance saying, “I feel like we are in a spaceship… In a good way.”

Earlier this year, Adrianne Lenker released her beloved solo album Bright Future, the follow-up to 2020’s double release, songs and instrumentals. Bright Future won over the hearts of fans and critics alike, garnering high praise from Pitchfork, NME, Uncut, The New York Times, MOJO, and many more, with the Sunday Times calling Lenker the “heir to [Bob] Dylan.” Last month, Lenker also shared the song, ‘Once a Bunch’, recorded during the Bright Future sessions. Later this year, a 7” edition of ‘Once a Bunch’ will be released via independent record stores.

Following a totally sold-out European tour, Adrianne will head to North America for a final run of headline performances this upcoming Autumn. A full list of dates can be found below, all shows are now sold out.
