Every year artists from across the globe have been assembled by Crafting Room Recordings to cover an album by the 90s indie rock band Pavement in aid of various local and international charities. This year sees the project cover the fifth and final studio album by the band with all proceeds benefiting ‘Save the Children Sudan’.

Previous charities have included: Truro Food Bank, Anera, Surfers Against Sewage & Ukrainian Red Cross. Previous compilations have also featured tracks from notable artists such as: Orchid Mantis, Swiss Portrait, Dutch Criminal Record, Mercvrial & have earned support from Bob Nastanovich and Spiral Stairs of Pavement.

The project also hopes to illuminate the suffering currently present in Sudan. The civil war that is currently raging is one of the worst humanitarian crises the world has seen, but it is not getting the attention it needs:

Over 9.8 million people have been forced to flee their homes.

More than 16.4 million children are facing severe food shortages.

1 in 2 children – have been within 5 km of the frontline of the conflict, over the past year – the highest rate of child exposure in the world.

More than 4.6 million children are now displaced, making it the largest child displacement crisis in the world.
