Impermanence is a concept album rooted in the transitory nature of all things —
an exploration of loss, change, and emotional reckoning through the lens of
progressive and post-metal. The album doesn’t follow a linear narrative, but
rather a thematic arc that mirrors the human experience: awakening to
disillusionment, wrestling with inner conflict, processing grief, and confronting
identity in a world that never stands still.
Across eight tracks, THRÆDS blends crushing heaviness with moments of
ambient stillness to reflect life’s dualities — pain and beauty, collapse and
transformation, silence and noise. The songs navigate deeply personal terrain:
emotional fatigue, the search for authenticity, isolation, and the paradox of
surrendering control to find peace.
Impermanence is not just about loss, but about learning to live within it. It’s an
invitation to reflect on the spaces between beginnings and endings — and to
find meaning there.

-THRÆDS is a multinational progressive/post-metal band based in Berlin,
Germany, formed in 2019 by Greek guitarist and composer Angelos Tzamtzis.
Originally conceived as a solo studio project, THRÆDS evolved into a full fivepiece ensemble after Tzamtzis relocated to Berlin, seeking to bring his dense,
emotionally driven soundscapes to life on stage.
The band’s music fuses elements of post-metal, progressive rock and ambient
textures—delivering emotionally immersive compositions shaped by themes of
loss, transformation, and inner reckoning. Drawing influence from acts like
POrcupine Tree, Tool, Alcest, Gojira, and Deftones, THRÆDS crafts a sound
both expansive and intimately personal.
