Today, Dry Cleaning share ‘Cruise Ship Designer’, the second single from their new album Secret Love, out 9 January 2026. The new track follows lead single ‘Hit My Head All Day’ and arrives alongside a music video featuring the band’s Lewis Maynard performing a dance routine choreographed for the track by BULLYACHE. ‘Cruise Ship Designer’ is a classic Dry Cleaning pop song sung from the perspective of a nautical entrepreneur who has deluded himself that his work serves society, its perky careerism also channelling some of XTC’s ‘Making Plans for Nigel’.

“Dry Cleaning provide a voice for people who are at their wits’ end but not yet beyond a wry smile at the absurdity of modern life.” – Crack
“They’re one of a kind.” – NME *****
“Dry Cleaning is one of the best living bands.” – Paste
“It’s good to have them back.” – THE FACE

Vocalist and lyrcists Florence Shaw elaborates: “The song is about a cruise ship and hotel designer who’s skilled and paid well, but who doesn’t believe his role has real worth. He tries to enjoy it, and invests himself in meeting the challenges of the job.”
Today, the band also announce a run of outstore performances across the UK for January 2026. Ticket bundles are available via the bands website and will go on sale at 10am GMT tomorrow, Wednesday 12 November. See outstore dates below, and for tickets head here.

The outstore run precedes an extensive North American, European and UK tour that includes the group’s biggest headline shows at LA’s Wiltern and London’s O2 Academy Brixton.
