ASIMOV com PETER WOOD – ENDLESS SLEEP (2020) Improvisation Piece
This is not a song per se. It is an improvisational piece of Music. It was recorded with a single microphone on a simple Tascam DR07 recorder.

Upon commencing the rehearsals for the ASIMOV AND THE HIDDEN CIRCUS concert at Ninguém Drome Fest, ASIMOV and guitar player PETER WOOD (aka Pedro Madeira) played this piece while warming up and volume checks. The result wound up as a completely unrehearsed floating improvisation.

What you hear is the first time four musicians played together in almost over two years.

What you listen to is a moment of pure intertwined and interlocked musical magic.

Floating in Earthless Sleep, this is ASIMOV with PETER WOOD in its purest form.

Around ten minutes into the improvisation, the 21st Century tape ran out (read, ‘Full Memory Card’). Nevertheless, this captures an unrepeatable and irreversible performance that, according to our estimate, lasted for 20 to 25 minutes.

In the words of Klemen Breznikar on the liner notes for ‘Flowers’, lost to time. In our words, a view of our time.
