Avantgarde-pop newcomer Roivanen to Svartronix – Svart Records

Black Recordsin a sub-sign focused on electronic and rhythm music Svartronix has entered into a record deal with visual artist and musician Tiia Roivanen with. Debut EP with the name Roivanen SOOMA will be published on 13.11.2020. A publication combining avant-garde pop and spoken Word has been produced Karina and Babelfamiliar from bands Karin Mäkiranta.

Roivanen met his future producer by chance at the premiere of the short film in Helsinki, when he approached Mäkiranta, asked him to listen to his demos – and eventually ended up collaborating. As a band on the debut EP, the duo asked musicians from the circle of friends, so the album features visitors familiar from Karina Helmi Tikkanen (bass and cello), drummer Mikko Maijala (The Holy) and the songs are decorated with violins Elias Riipinen (Elia, The Holy, Lac Belot).

According to Roivanen, the songs of the upcoming EP began to take shape with images created by strong personal experiences. Among other things, he wrote open images that were brought to the surface by admiration and close human relationships. According to the artist ”music is the place through which emotions, thoughts, and images pass. A glass room surrounded by countless possibilities. A beautiful, cracking glass ball, an inner organ – an intimate landscape bubble with rain”. The first single from the mini-album, Ruska, tells the story of the feeling of powerlessness she experienced in relation to a malaise loved one. “Ruska talks about how to learn to let go, even if the awareness of a nasty situation is chasing in thoughts“, Tiia Roivanen says.

Roivanen invites you to open your window and think with your body. He uses sensual intuitive narration in his texts, which leads to different steps. Russia-single will be released digitally on 4.9.2020 and the song can be listened to on Svart Records YouTubvia e-channel at:https://youtu.be/3qzHVNX5Ieg
