I wrote and recorded ‘Darker Days’ over a long weekend.
The theme of the songs moves in a very limited universe: insecurity, flight, questions of guilt, repression and confidence. The cheapest possible means of production were used: samples from the Boss DR660 and a free Sq8l synthesizer plug-in (Ensoniq clone).
The cover is Mont-Saint-Michel from an unfamiliar perspective, photographed from an old postcard. Nostalgia and science fiction at the same time.
