When life fell apart, Demons My Friends once again found solace in music. For their second album Survive Yourself, the heavy trio wrote for five days in Cuernavaca, Mexico, channeling a year of personal turmoil (sick relatives, lost jobs and family crises) directly into the music. Recording became a patchwork journey through four different studios made possible by long-time collaborators and producers Jeff Henson, Pastas, and Fer Monroy. Survive Yourself is the raw emotional document of a band holding it together when everything else was falling apart. Intricate, honest, and definitely their deepest and heaviest album to date.
