Into The Arcane is a doom rock band from The Netherlands, formed in 2016. In 2017 they released the EP “Het Verlangen der Geest”. “Sleepless We Lie, Thoughtless We Cry” is the first full length concept album and came to light March 2019.
Musical influences: Black Sabbath, Celtic Frost, Bathory, Tiamat, Paradise Lost, Trouble and Candlemass. Currently the band is writing their 3rd release.
ABOUT THIS ALBUM
In 1867, renowned researcher Dr. John P. Philips, started investigating a string of weird and unexplainable accounts of madness and despair.
In his search for answers, he discovered a global connection linking each account to the other. In what he described as: “The Arcane Disorder”, Dr. Philips interviewed dozens of “patients” and uncovered hundreds of manuscripts leading back to as early as 1534.
He bundled his early findings into a collective he called: “Into the Arcane”.
This album brings you these stories.
