About their band projects (Thergothon, Fu-Tourist, Magenta Skycode) and their cooperation PMMPor even Vestan with known Jori Roosberg (Jori Sjöroos) is a recognized musician, but in recent years the artist’s solos have creeped out like secretly. The composer, producer and songwriter released the first songs in their own names in 2017 and the continuum has been following at an accelerating pace. Almost exactly a year ago, he released his first solo album Sjöroots (11 Ones, 2021), followed by the one published last March – and already worked on over the last decade – Personal Album Demo 2019.
Digitally published ten songs long Sjöroots aroused emotions from side to side as they appeared. The album was often perceived as a kind of cleansing rite, a kind of new artistic beginning. On the other hand, the reflection on where the boundary of masterful composition or even bullying goes was left to bother many listeners and critics. According to the artist, it was a spiritual journey to his own minute. While during the journey, fear, anger, light, and love — and all in between — seemed to be struggling with each other, the end result of the process was a musical experience that healed wounds for its author.
Jori Sjöroosin Sjöroots is a unique, exceptional and challenging album by Black Records will release a limited edition of 250 copies on November 26, 2021. The album is currently available for pre-order from Svart’s online store as well as from vinyl retailers in the field across the country.
