From the smoke-filled lair of Kevin and Chantal emerges the debut album of Kevin und die tätowierte Vollzeitmutter (German for Kevin and the tattooed homestay mother).
Fourty-Five minutes of doomy instrumental stoner rock, recorded live, fully improvised, no edits, no nothing – just pure mayhem, sludge and grime. Groovy, pounding drums and a guitar tuned lower than the seventh circle of hell.
“Butter bei die Fische” is a German idiom that translates to “Butter to the fish” in English. This phrase is commonly used in northern Germany and is an expression that essentially means “get to the point” or “cut to the chase.”. And getting to the point we did. This is a no-frills record – angry and pounding like a raging bull. Or maybe an angry triggerfish, that maybe fits the water theme a little better. Submerge yourself.
