Recorded immediately after “I Fly From Life to Life” in the summer of 2023, “The Celestial Artisans”is directly influenced by the Urantia Book, a fascinating book that I heard Sun Ra used to carry around with him for a period of time during his earthly life. It is named “Celestial Artisans” after Paper 44, which is the chapter that inspired the music on the album. The book itself is very mysterious and its authorship is still being debated. It is believed that the book was written by celestial beings through psychic phenomena sometime between 1924 and 1955.
