The Secret Teaching of Sorrow is the second album from French dark alternative rock quartet Melt. The
band initially began as a duo when singer Charlotte and guitar player Oliver met in October 2007. During
the first 8 years of cohabiting they produced the first Melt demos, in what can just be referred to as
mayhem. The result was an extremely personal mix of rock and metal: howling – not with your guts however
with your spirit. The music is dark, however paradoxically Charlotte and Oliver formed the band in search of light
and hope on the planet.

Melt is rooted in the power of metal and also inspired by the tenderness and also melancholia of the spirit.

In 2015 these 2 strolling hearts met Roméo (drums) and Jux (bass guitar) – and so Melt might ultimately
come to be a band, playing on every sort of stage in their area for the following 5 years.
Olivier and Charlotte both play guitar, while Charlottes composes verses and also sings in her very own distinct means:
her verses are “oniric” – a mix of English and in some cases a fictional, invented language, detached
from the earthly globe.
