Drain is a song that came alive in the studio after experimenting with the arrangements. The main groove locked in, the verse started rolling, and suddenly the whole track made sense. Even though the lyrics deal with drifting away and losing warmth, the music carries a more driving, forward moving feel than the rest of the album.
