Purity Ring Release Acoustic Performance Of 'Sinew' Purity Ring

Purity Ring have shared a rare acoustic performance of ‘sinew’, taken from their recent album WOMB, shot during quarantine. Watch the video in the player below.

The electronic duo have also confirmed rescheduled tour dates for Spring 2021 in support of the duo’s recently released LP WOMB, which was praised as a “crystalline rush of adrenaline” by The FADER. See full tour schedule below and read a statement from the band here.

WOMB debuted at #1 on the Billboard Electronic Albums chart and top 20 on seven Billboard charts.  The ten songs are entirely written, recorded, produced and mixed by the duo of James and Corin Roddick, and the album chronicles a quest for comfort and the search for a resting place in a world where so much is beyond our control.

WOMB is available digitally, on CD and standard back vinyl. Limited color vinyl options available via the Purity Ring store & 4AD Store (violet), Vinyl Me Please (grey & white marbled), and independent record shops (opaque red).

    WOMB

“WOMB is some of Purity Ring’s strongest work, a confident and singular statement from a band often imitated over the past decade.” – Pitchfork
Maybe the otherworldly sounds of Purity Ring are precisely what we need to escape into right about now.” – The FADER
Brims with textured electro-pop as crystalline and vast as that of the band’s previous LPs.” – AV Club
The duo’s new album WOMB is probably their most beguiling to date; it’s a twisted comfort blanket of a record weaved with a wider variety of sonic textures than in the past.” – DAZED
In these dark days, we need to find comfort in small joys.  Purity Ring’s third album is a shimmering escape, and as good a self-isolation soundtrack as you’re likely to find” – Loud & Quiet (8/10)
