One of the best-known voices in rock, Scott Stapp is reconnecting with a “Higher Power.” Born during the dark and difficult isolation of quarantine, the propulsive track reflects on the singer’s own near-death experiences, acknowledges the grace by which he survived, and offers hope to others.
“Life’s mysteries can be unraveled by listening to one’s inner voice. For me, that means leaning on my faith in God and listening to His voice to guide me through the struggles and darkness,” says the rocker. “For others, whether it’s through art, nature, science, family, or a combination of all, tapping into a higher power is an individualized process that requires an open mind and a willingness to flow with a force that’s greater than the individual.”
With fresh imagery and production behind his timeless sound, “Higher Power” is Stapp’s first track from his upcoming second Napalm Records album. Details about the new album will be announced soon to continue Stapp’s triumphant 2019 solo return to the top of radio and rock charts in the US and UK*.
