“Emerging Submarines” is the new single from alternative rock giants, Springbok Nude Girls.

“Emerging Submarines”, is the immense new single and video taken from the bands new album “Partypocalypse” (out 03 September 2021 on Mongrel Records). Opening with a riff that could only be Theo Crous, the new single is pure Springbok Nude Girls magic and showcases why the band is still hailed as South Africa’s premier alternative rock band.

The video for “Submerging Submarines” was shot, directed, and edited by renowned artist and sculptor Lionel Smit on location at his studio. The results offer a visual explosion which perfectly match the intensity and mood of the song.

“Spending a day in Lionel Smit’s amazing studio was exciting. We played through the songs a few times and they quickly got the shots they wanted. Always a pleasure working with Lionel and his amazing team.” comments Francois. “I think the video gives insight into how it feels to perform the song very successfully…” adds Arno with guitarist and producer Theo Crous quickly interjecting, “always lekker to be with Lionel Smit…always an incredible experience!”

    LYRICS:

The ants are my friends, highly trained mole men, we are independent (call a referendum)
Got to go deeper, sleeper sells awake them, the equinox (get them to the voting box)
How low? How low can we go how deep when should we meet?

Emerging submarines, we are emerging submarines, we are emerging submarines
We are emerging submarines, we are emerging submarines, emerging submarines

Swing out all the soldiers, the astronauts control us
Wings are merely skin deep, we just got to breath deep
From the abyss, rise up to the shore, revolution says no more
How low? How low can we go? How deep when shall we meet?

Emerging submarines, we are emerging submarines, we are emerging submarines
We are emerging submarines, we are emerging submarines, emerging submarines

The ants are weapons, socialist with no friends, carry on my cool friends, soon you’ll hear the bark
Trouble, trouble life on the double, the equinox (get him to the voting box)
How low? How low can we go? How deep? When shall we meet (hmm?)

Emerging submarines, we are emerging submarines, we are emerging submarines
We are emerging submarines, we are emerging submarines, emerging submarines

I’m the old man, she is the sea without home, where would I be? Can’t sit around
Stand my ground, waiting for the lost and found

    Emerging submarines
We are emerging submarines, we are emerging submarines
We are emerging submarines, we are emerging submarines
We are emerging submarines, we are emerging submarines
We are, we are, we are
