Playing bittersweet punk rock Phone sex will release their second full – length album in June 2022. The songs on the album deal with loneliness, alienation, mental health problems and, of course, a broken heart. The stories on the album are in the eye of the storm, looking around the chaos. Yet a small smile goes through the tears on her lips as she accepts the volatile nature of things and emotions. The album is clearly more heartbreaking than its predecessor and shows a new, more serious side to Phone Sex. Stunning choruses and longing guitar melodies are in place, as well as the band’s distinctive touching lyrics.
The band, founded in Rovaniemi in 2015, has toured all over Finland for years and received a lot of incense and attention, most recently the choice of the band YleXBreakthrough for the 2022 listing. The album’s first single, Guests to Each Other, will be released digitally on March 18, 2022.
