This is the 2nd independent effort Corsair created before being signed to the SKR label. “Ghost of Proxima” is very similar to the self-titled album and you can hear where they were right before they created the self-titled masterpiece. All the elements of a great album are here, but since this is an EP, this album certainly leaves you wanting more. It’s a little more laid back than the self-titled, more progressive, but it definitely has the foundation of a very special band. There are some classic songs not to be missed on this EP. A band’s early years are usually their best years for creative writing and execution and this is absolutely essential and classic Corsair.
