Svart Recordsin During its twenty-year history, many of the company’s staff’s personal re-release dreams have been realized, but there has been one opening in Dreams for a masterpiece from Pori – a post-rock band that was shut down a few years ago Magyar Posse and most especially their second album Kings Of Time (2004). Years of design and work have now been completed, and this most important crown jewel in domestic instrumental music will be engraved on the plastic compound in the fall of 2022.
Hungarian Possen’s debut We Will Carry You Over The Mountains (2001) was already unprecedented in our country Ennio Morriconea and Goblinia an epic that hit the so-called post rock floating on the crest of trends at the time, but appeared three years later Kings Of Time took the expression to such levels that music critics other than the nerves of the time went crazy on the record. The 45-minute work, made up of seven untitled songs, is like music for an introverted film in which Slavic melancholy and the new wave landscapes of the early 60s alternate between the spaghetti western wilderness or Soviet space films.
The record was once released in shades of red and black that exuded the Soviet avant-garde of the 20th century. The vinyl edition, compiled by Svart Records in collaboration with the members of the orchestra, changes the cover to shades of blue in honor of the changed times. The album comes with an envelope of memorabilia and lyrics from around the time the album was born. Magyar Possen Kings of Time will be released on October 7, 2022 and is now on pre – sale in the Svart Records online store.
