Dimtrail – Dimtrail (EP 2020)

Dimtrail is a new band made up of 4 individuals from Aschaffenburg, Germany. They play what they call ‘Stonerprog’. Dimtrail’s sound can be described as a blend of driving riffs and basslines, aggressive and clean vocals, spiced with some odd time signatures and finished off with a second guitar loaded with synthesizer-like effects. The band fully came together in early 2019 and finished writing their first three tracks towards the end of that year. After some first gigs, the band focused on recording the material that had been written so far and produced a self-titled EP as their first release. Recorded, mixed and mastered by Julian Rocco, a friend of the band and drummer of Vulva. The mix of the debut EP is crisp and balanced, providing a dynamic listening experience of quiet and intense parts. It runs for 32 minutes and contains 4 tracks, as the last one was split into two parts. It has been released to the world on 11.12.2020.
